Baxley Funeral Home announces the death, visitation, and funeral services of Mrs. Stella Oakman of Baxley, Georgia who departed this life Tuesday, January 17, 2017.

Visitation for Mrs. Oakman will be held Friday, January 20th from 6pm - 7pm in the chapel of Baxley Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21st at 11am at Harper's Chapel United Method Church located at 217 E. Allen Street in Baxley.

Burial will be held at Old Field Memorial Gardens located off of Ten Mile Hwy in Baxley, Georgia. The repast will follow in the Harper's Chapel United Methodist Church Social Hall.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Harper’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Baxley. The eulogy was given by the Reverend Abra Lattany-Reed.

Interment followed in the Old Field Memorial Garden.

Repast was held in the social hall of Harper’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Active pallbearers included nephews.

Honorary pallbearers included the men of Harper’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Musical selections were rendered by Karla James and the choir of Harper’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Baxley Funeral Home.
