Baxley Funeral Home announces the celebration of life services for Ms. Jeraldine Ross Thompson.

Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 6-8pm at Baxley Funeral Home located at 477 Blackshear Hwy in Baxley, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11:00am at A New Beginning Church located at 2047 GA-57 in Ludowici, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Ludowici, Georgia. The repast will take place at A New Beginning Church.

Celebration of Life

Ms. Jeraldine Ross Thompson was born on October 28, 1962 to the late Mrs. Gloria Wilds and Mr. Benjamin Hall, and step father, the late Mr. Leavy Carter, Jr.

On Wednesday, March 30, 2016, Jeraldine made the transition from Earth to "GLORY" at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Jeraldine was a graduate of the Appling County Comprehensive High School. She joined the Upper Room Temple in Baxley, Georgia at an early age. She loved to sing, she had an anointed voice, she was full of life with an innate personality and infectious spirit. She impacted the lives of those she came in contact with. On September 18, 1982, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Donald Gamble, Sr. with this union five children were born.

Jeraldine later moved to Brunswick, Georgia and joined Spiritual Body Holiness Church. Then later moved to Ludowici, Georgia and attended St. John Church of Christ Holiness unto the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children: Tiara (Jarvus) Wilcox and Lekia Monique Gamble, both of Ludowici, GA, Donald Gamble, Jr. of Macon, GA, LeGerald Gamble of Baxley, GA, and India Gamble of Savannah, GA. Her loving grandmother, Eloise Hall of Baxley, GA. Three sisters, Kaujia Hall of Brunswick, GA, Jo Ann (Mitchell) Wilkerson of Baxley, GA, and Sarah (Brendon) Rogers of Winston Salem, N. Six brothers, Terrance Carter and Dexter Carter, Sr. of Jacksonville, FL, Kendrick (Natasha) Carter, Sr. of Baxley, GA, Leavy (Cassandra) Carter, III of Lawrenceville, GA, Benjamin (Pam) Hall, Jr. of Lakeland, FL and James Bell of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Brother in law, Antonio Gamble of Detroit. Three God-daughters, Terrell (Charles) Vann and D'Andra (Marcus) Baker of Baxley, GA and Jennifer Cox of Ludowici, GA. God sister, Angela Ashley and God brother, David Ashley. Eight grandchildren, a special friend Kimbrough Clements, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and sorrowing family and friends.
