Baxley Funeral Home announces the passing of Chairman Deacon James Mitchell Williams of Baxley, Georgia.  He departed this life on Sunday, January 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Georgia.  

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 24th at 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the chapel of Baxley Funeral Home located at 477 Blackshear Highway in Baxley, Georgia.

"A time for reflections" and family visitation will be held at the Thankful New Jersey Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, January 24th at 6:30 PM-8:00 PM. 

Celebration of Life services for Chairman Deacon James Mitchell Williams will be held on Saturday, January 25th at 11:00 AM at First Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church located at 70 Pleasant Hill Church Road in Baxley, Georgia. Additional viewing will be held one hour prior to funeral service.

Interment will follow in the Old Field Memorial Gardens located on Old Field Cementary Road in Baxley, Georgia.

Repast will be at Robinson's Place located at 1410 Ten Mile Road, Baxley, Georgia.
