Chris Leon Ivory was born in Baxley, Georgia on December 3, 1954 to Geraldine Burk- King and the late Alvin Ivory.

Chris accepted Christ at an early age at St. James A.M.E Church where he actively participated in youth activities as a child. As an adult he sang in the choir.

Shortly after graduation he enlisted into the U.S. Army where his military occupational specialty was Airborne Ranger at the 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg North Carolina. During his tenure in the military he was married and God blessed them with two beautiful children KaSonya and Kristy. He was a loving father and a great provider for his family. At the end of his enlistment he received an honorable discharge.

He was employed at Plant Hatch as a Nuclear Security Officer for over 25 years. During that time he met Winell Ingram and on August 30, 1996, they married. Winell has one daughter, Barbara Davis, whom Chris loved and cared for as his own.
